Changes to bus timetables will see the withdrawal of a service until next year.
As of this Sunday (September 23), changes to the X51 and X53 Jurassic Coaster routes will be in place; from this day, Sunday services will be withdrawn until Easter next year.
The West Dorset Western Area Transport Action Group (WATAG) has asked First Wessex to reconsider the move.
WATAG's next meeting will take place on Thursday, September 27, at the W.I. Hall on North Street, Bridport, at 6.30 pm.
A representative from Dorset Travel will advise of the future plans for the Bridport - Beaminster - Yeovil inter urban corridor, along with an update on school transport.
Meanwhile, both Beaminster Town Council and Bridport Town Council have introduced their own community bus initiatives to plug some of the gaps created by withdrawal of routes last year, and the meeting will hear how these services are faring.
Trains west of Crewkerne are being replaced by buses until Sunday while flood alleviation works take place. The car park has been closed to accommodate replacement buses. The meeting will also host a representative from the rail industry to explain this and to advise on developments, including through tickets for bus and rail.
Also in attendance will be councillors, transport operators and public transport users and there will be a 'democratic session' for anyone to raise questions about local bus and rail services.
