Crews were called to a field in West Bay last night (9) to extinguish a large quantity of hay and rubbish.
The hay and rubbish had reignited after a previous controlled burn.
A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said they received the call at 9.50pm.
She said: "It was originally a controlled burn lit by the farmer but it was causing a nuisance to nearby campers so we made the decision to extinguish it."
