Over the past bank holiday weekend, a total of 63 camper vans were parked in the Station Car Park in West Bay.

Sleeping is not permitted in this car park but it is obvious that these vans are slept in as the inhabitants are often seen by their vans in pyjamas, having a cup of tea and even washing was spotted hanging off one of them.

Some of these vans stay in this car park on and off throughout the summer months paying only £2 a day for the privilege.

Not only are they depriving car owners of space to park but also depriving official sites of valuable income.

There are no facilities in this car park and why would there be, it's a car park not a caravan park.

It is hoped that when Station Car Park reopens after the resurfacing takes place, camper vans will no longer be allowed to stay there.
