I know we are trying to encourage wildlife and wildflowers to grow on our verges and roundabouts these days, and I’m all for it.
However, recently in many areas of Dorset I’ve had to completely stop when I approached roundabouts because the vegetation is too high to see oncoming traffic.
The only drivers who can see what’s coming must be those of a lorry, bus and four-wheel drive vehicles.
Many cars are continuing to drive as usual, ie looking to their right and not stopping as they approach a roundabout but they are blind and don’t know if something is heading their way!
Please, please councils use some common sense and put road safety first.
