Police and an ambulance were called to the scene of a crash involving two vehicles outside Beaminster.
A Blue Ford Fusion and a Grey VW Tiguan were involved in the crash just after 2 pm on the A356 east of Beaminster in West Dorset, near the junction with the B3163 junction towards Corscombe.
Police attended the scene and recovery assistance was requested, as was an ambulance. The crews checked over the occupants of the vehicles, but no serious injuries were reported.
With the road blocked in both directions, a diversion through Beaminster was established, with a highways team attending to clear up some fluid left on the road.
Police departed the scene just after 3.30 pm.
The A356 has now been reopened in both directions and traffic is said to be easing.
