Businesses in west Dorset are in the frame for a series of 'behind the scenes' videos to share success stories.

The Dorset Chamber of Commerce is producing the new Business Insights films to follow firms with an interesting or unusual story to tell.

The project aims to inspire other companies and help them see the bigger picture when it comes to business.

Frettens Solicitors has become the first firm to be featured.

Stuart Dixon, Dorset Chamber head of marketing and communications, said: "Our new Business Insights videos will tell the unique stories of successful Dorset businesses.

"Through the experiences of others we can all learn and be inspired to grow and then thrive.

"Our goal is to provide valuable video content that can connect with our audience.

"We are very grateful to Matthew Fretten and his team for our first Business Insights video, and we look forward to evolving the series going forward."

Dorset Chamber will screen the videos on its website, social media and in the reception of its offices.

Frettens' film traces the family-run business' evolution from its foundation by Ian Fretten as a one-man legal practice in 1978 to a Legal 500 firm today.

Managing partner Matthew Fretten, Ian's son, said: "Although a strong belief in traditional customer service is at the heart of Frettens, we're also a modern people-focused firm.

"It's an honour to be the first Dorset Chamber to feature in a Business Insight Video."

The initiative comes after the Dorset Chamber, recently relaunched its website.

The Chamber is the county’s voice of business and leading business support organisation. It has a nine-strong affiliation network of town chambers and is represented by chief executive Ian Girling on the Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership board.

Mr Girling said: "The chamber continues to innovate and modernise to deliver the best services for business and help drive the local economy.
