Fantastic food and delicious drinks are on the menu for summer as a popular festival is set to visit.

Dorset Street Food Festival will roll into Lyme Regis for the bank holiday weekend.

The Street Food Warehouse, the company behind numerous well-loved street food festivals across the south coast, will set up in Lyme from Saturday, May 26 to Monday, May 28.

Running from 12pm to 10pm daily, the festival promises to serve up an array of different food and drink. Hungry visitors can expect food from all over the world alongside an ice-cold pint of beer or cocktail, courtesy of the Pop Up Bar Hire Company.

Pakora Pod, Sam and The Frying Machine, Urban Cheesecake and Monte Forte Pizza are just some of the street food vendors confirmed to be attending the event taking place on Marine Parade, with many other local and national vendors yet to be announced.

Those with specific dietary requirements will have a wide range of choices too; with vegan, gluten free and vegetarian vendors, the festival promises to cater for everyone.

Event organiser Tudor Barber said: “There is nothing like this event in Lyme Regis and we are really pleased and excited to be bringing all the seductive smells and tastes of Street Food Warehouse to the beautiful Dorset coast.”

The Street Food Warehouse has been running street food events since 2015 and branched out into Festivals in 2016, feeding more than 120,000 visitors in the process.

If you fancy the idea of sampling a variety of food and drink along the Dorset coast in the sun, head to Lyme Regis for the family-friendly event which is free to attend.

While tickets for the event are free, you are encouraged to register in order to guarantee entry at peak times.
