THE Red Arrows returned to Lyme Regis yesterday – after a successful funding campaign from local residents.
The RAF jets usually perform as the highlight of the Lyme Regis RNLI lifeboat week – but the lifesaving charity could not afford to book the Red Arrows this year, after it was announced performance costs would be introduced.
Local campaigners stepped in to ensure the iconic jets returned to the west Dorset town.
The Red Arrows took to the skies at 7pm on Thursday, following a day of Red Arrows-related family fun.
