BRIDPORT: National trade body the Property Care Association (PCA) has drawn up a list of steps householders in Bridport can take to stop winter taking its toll on their homes.
The advice is in line with National Maintenance Week.
Running from November 21-28, National Maintenance Week is an annual event organised by The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings.
Steps include clearing chimneys, ensuring efficient roof tiling, clearing gutters and downpipes, checking external pointing, checking sealing between window and doorway openings, clearing or cutting external vegetation, servicing air extraction systems, clearing drainage gullies, clearing away leaves on drives and paths and organising storage water butts.
