LYME Luggers Ukulele Group held its first AGM, almost exactly one year after being formed by Paul Burnage and Paul Grinter.
Over the last year members of the group, many of whom had never previously played any musical instrument, have attended around 40 practice sessions at their regular home, The Masonic Hall in Lyme Regis.
In addition they have played to the public on 14 occasions at various venues around the area, in the process raising £778, which has been donated to local charitable causes, such as Candles on the Cobb, Lyme RNLI and St Michael’s Primary School.
Membership stands at 26, but enthusiastic new members are always welcome. Contact Neil Harvey on 01297 560167 for details.
