MEMBERS had an interesting talk given by Dr Tresidder about the benefits of Bach Flower Remedies.

He explained the properties of various flowers and leaves which, when infused with pure water, can give a measurable improvement in well being, especially tension and insomnia.

Members were able to test some of the many potions on display and ask questions about the benefits.

During the last month, members had a group lunch at the Market House and a coach outing to Powerdham Castle for the day, a most fascinating insight into the history of the house, family and contents.

The weather was kind and those who were energetic were able to walk round the extensive grounds and garden.

Names are being take for the Christmas lunch at Haddon House on December 16 and the ‘Oh what a lovely war’ at the arts centre on November 29 outings to Trago Mills on November 17 (almost full) and a coach trip to Wincheter Christmas markets on December 1.

Lunches are arranged for every second Tuesday each month.

The next lunch will be at ‘Oh Crumbs’ on November 11.

Evening meetings are every fourth Tuesday at the St John Ambulance Hall, Rax Lane, Bridport, at 7.30pm.

New members are welcome and admission to evening meetings is £1.50, £2 for non members, which includes refreshments.
