THE October meeting was a social evening on the theme of Pate and Plonk and members arrived wearing berets, striped tops and, in one case, some onions.
The president completed the formal business and arrangements were made for the next meeting of the monthly lunch club and the Christmas meal.
Angela Hayball gave a detailed and amusing report of her attendance at the autumn council meeting in Poole.
Members then had a supper of pate and salad with wine or fruit juice followed by a couple of quizzes.
The first was a series of small cryptic puzzles and the next was a chocolate themed quiz. Small prizes were awarded to the winning teams.
The next meeting is on November 17 at 7.30 pm in the village hall when Kay Townsend will give a talk on the subject of fairgrounds. Visitors and new members are always welcome.
