Lifeboat fundraisers in Lyme Regis are appealing to their neighbours in Charmouth to help with collections during major events in the coming months.
Chairman of the Lyme Regis and Charmouth RNLI Guild, Irene Roper said: “I am delighted to say that two residents of Charmouth have asked to join our committee, but we still need more to help us with collections during events such as Lifeboat Week and the Christmas Day swim.
“After all, we are the Lyme Regis and Charmouth RNLI Guild and more helpers would be very welcome.
“Anyone interested should contact me at irenelroper@googlemail.com The guild’s next big event is the grand Halloween barn dance and supper at Uplyme Village Hall on Wednesday, October 29.
Tickets are £8.50 for adults and £3 for under 15s.
There is also a family ticket – two adults and two under 15s – for £20. All tickets are available at the lifeboat shop at the harbour and Uplyme store and post office.
The event, with supper included and dancing to Long Odds and Short Straws, starts at 7.30pm. Youngsters under 15 arriving in Halloween costume will receive a prize.
