BOURNEMOUTH swept into the EDF Energy Intermediate Cup third round with a thumping 42-0 home win over Henley Wanderers.

The Lions roared as Dan Cawley, Johan Dannhauser, James Flynn, Matt Kiely and James Payne all went in for touchdowns, while they were also awarded a penalty try.

Jon Sanchez added three conversions and two penalties as Bournemouth built up a 15-0 half time lead and then took their South West Division Two East rivals apart in the second period.

Former Oakmeadians captain Will Croker made his Lions debut as a 56th minute substitute for Tim Seward Wimborne bowed out of the EDF Energy Senior Vase following a 28-22 home defeat against Bristol Harlequins in the third round.

North Dorset lost 34-5 at home to Thornbury in the same competition.
