MASTERCHEF winner Mat Follas has scooped a hat trick of accolades – in the Michelin, AA and Good Food guides.

It is yet another clean sweep of the big three restaurant guides for Beaminster’s The Wild Garlic.

This is the third year running restaurant has been in all three guides.

In addition the restaurant has been listed as a ‘rising star’ by prestigious South West Trencherman’s guide to restaurants.

The Wild Garlic has been recommended in The Good Food Guide and The Michelin Guide.

The award of two rosettes for excellence by the AA restaurant guide 2012 has also been repeated for 2013.

Mat said: “I’m delighted for the restaurant and team.

“It’s been an difficult year for all businesses in Beaminster with trade dropping due to the Olympics and the tunnel closure.

“Its a reflection of the hard work by the small team at The Wild Garlic and rewards the effort we all put into maintaining quality of food and service.

“We’re looking forward to an exciting 2013 and please don’t forget we usually have a few tables free. It’s a bit of a local myth we’re booked up weeks ahead, however much I might wish this was true.”
