**CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) RESPONSE**
With the current situation, we are focusing our efforts on high visibility patrols across all areas of West Dorset. We will be challenging people we come across in line with Government legislation along with supporting the most vulnerable within our communities. Please follow Government guidelines and advice from the NHS to help keep yourself and others safe.

The Bridport section covers the towns of Bridport, Lyme Regis & Beaminster, the large farming communities of West Dorset and the world famous Jurassic Coastline.

The NPT work alongside partner agencies and the local community to ensure Bridport remains a safe place to live, work and visit. Working in partnership means we can tackle the issues that most affect local people and the NPT have 4 main theme based priorities across Bridport (& West Dorset), which are:

1. Deliver engagement to prevent and educate the community against scams.

2. Disrupt 'County Lines' networks and criminal exploitation of vulnerable people.

3. Reduce Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB)

4. Policing our rural communities in partnership with the Rural Crime Team.

Please see the Local Priorities section below for more specific and localised issues in your area that we are currently working on.

The NPT believe it’s vitally important that we are accessible to the communities we police. As such, we attend many local events and meetings where you can speak with us face-to-face, as well as regularly updating our social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter & Instagram) and arranging individual contact when required.

To come and speak with us at a local event or meeting, please see the Get Involved section below for further details. You can follow us on our local social media accounts by using the relevant links on the right hand side of this page.

If you need to report something or wish to speak to a local officer directly, you can visit the "Contact Us / Do It Online" section of the main Dorset website. For those who are unable to use the internet, you can still call 101 for non-emergencies and 999 should always be called for an emergency where a crime is in progress or life is in danger.

As your local Neighbourhood Policing Team we are continuing to police toward our local priorities and targets, despite the current situation. We would normally be holding face to face engagements with our communities to help us build a better picture around what our local policing priorities should be. We are keen to continue harnessing your community concerns to achieve this. Therefore we have created this quick online survey to help us make an informed decision around our NPT local priorities. Please see the above link which will take directly to our, (very short) survey.

Due to current government guidance and staffing restrictions, there will be some disruption to Station Desk Services.

Bridport Enquiry Office is currently closed. Accessible dates for July and August 2020 will be provided in due course.

Please refer to access service times @ Weymouth Police Station Enquiry Office, for alternative location enquiry office services.

Normal policing patrols will continue to be provided and alternative contact can be made using the online reporting services on our website, email to Enquiries@dorset.pnn.police.uk or enquiries via 101 for all non-emergency matters.

For emergency incidents, harm or risk to life please call 999.

Apologies for any inconvenience and thank you for your co-operation.

Regular service hours of Monday Wednesday & Friday 1000-1530 hrs will resume as soon as possible.
