A literary treat for Jane Austen fans is coming to Poundbury.
Austen Sisters will be performed at the Brownsword Hall in Pummery Square on Saturday, October 17 from 7pm.
This 50-minute dramatic recital of staged readings from Jane and Cassandra Austen’s letters, prose and poetry all about sisters is compiled and performed by Hampshire actress and speaker Rowan Suart.
The performance was widely acclaimed at the Bath Jane Austen Festival, Chawton House, Alton Regency Week, Winchester Discovery Centre, and arts festivals in Farnham, Haslemere, Lindfield, Arundel.
Tickets cost £10 and can be paid for by cash/cheque on the door, guaranteed places should be reserved by email to rjs.recitals@gmx.com
There will be a limited audience capacity and Covid-secure measures will be in place.
