There's a lot of fun to be had this weekend whether you're in the mood for real ale, Queen songs or a rib tickling panto.

FRIDAY

*IMMERSE yourself in the sounds of Belgium as Belgian band WOR perform at The Pamela Hambro Hall in Winterbourne Stickland, near Blandford, this evening at 7.30pm. Known for injecting new energy into 18th century tunes from the Flanders region, the musicians also perform on an array of instruments including saxophone, violin, bagpipes, accordion and guitar. *ENJOY Dorchester's 32nd beer festival as Beerex returns to the Corn Exchange today and tomorrow. With 80 real ales and 20 varieties of cider, plus hot food and live music, entry is £10 per person, including your first pint and a half pint tankard. *TAKING to the stage this weekend are the Crossways Pantomimers, with three performances of Alice in Pantoland at Crossways Village Hall. The amateur dramatics group have been running since the 1980s, and showings take place at 7.30pm tonight, and 2.30pm and 7.30pm tomorrow. The original production combines Alice in Wonderland with The Wizard of Oz, and tickets are £6 for adults, £3 for children and £15 for a family of four, available via the Crossways Pantomimers Facebook page.

SATURDAY

*AN instrumental workshop led by WOR will also take place at The Pamela Hambro Hall on Saturday at 11am. Suitable for musicians aged 16 and above, participants must bring their own instrument and be capable of playing fluently. Places are £8, bookable via Artsreach.

*BE transported to Sherwood Forest as four performances of Robin Hood the panto take place this weekend at the Royal Manor Theatre on Portland. Follow the dashing hero as he steals from the rich and returns to the poor, all with the help of his band of Merry men. Shows are at 7.30pm tonight, 2.30pm and 7.30pm tomorrow, and 2.30pm on Sunday. *HEAD to Weymouth Pavilion tomorrow night for the return of Queen Rhapsody, a thrilling live concert paying tribute to the legend that is Queen. The production features hits from every decade of the band's stardom, including We Will Rock You, Radio Ga Ga, Bohemian Rhapsody and many, many more. The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets are £25 for adults or £20 for children, available from the pavilion website or box office.

SUNDAY

*SOAK up the sounds of songs from the sea as the Wareham Whalers present a charity concert at Kingston Maurward House on Sunday at 7.30pm. Having entertained audiences for more than 15 years, the singers will explore many of the ships that are celebrated in shanties as well as perform original songs composed by members. Tickets are £8, available from Eventbrite, and all proceeds go towards MS Society.

*LAUGH along with comedian Luke Wright on Sunday afternoon at The Blackmore Vale Inn, Marnhull, near Sturminster Newton. Known for his inventive poems, Luke has been on the scene since 2006, writing and performing nine spoken word shows and two verse plays. Performing in collaboration with Artsreach, Luke's show begins at 2pm and is free to attend.

*EXPERIENCE a production by award-winning actor Pip Utton, as he presents And Before I Forget I Love You, I Love You at Piddletrenthide Memorial Hall on Sunday. The show, which begins at 4pm, follows the devastating effects of Alzheimer's disease, both on the sufferer and those around them. Based on his own experience of watching his mother deteriorate as a result of the condition, Pip's character takes the audience on a journey full of smiles, laughter, respect and tears. Suitable for audiences aged 12 and above, tickets are £10 for adults and £6 for under-18s, available from Artsreach.
