A folk legend will bring his one-man show to Bridport Arts Centre this weekend on Saturday, February 8, at 7.30pm.

Steve Knightley presents his latest solo tour, Pass Notes: The Stories Behind the Songs, for anyone fascinated by the art and craft of songwriting.

Exploring his extensive back catalogue of records and introducing unheard new material, Steve will share the themes and stories that inspire him and demonstrate how words and music can become lyrics and chords.

A former resident of west Dorset, Steve worked as a supply teacher at Beaminster secondary school and gave guitar lessons to many young musicians, most notably PJ Harvey. Since 1992, he has been one half of the folk/roots duo, Show of Hands, alongside Phil Beer.

Steve's performance at Bridport Arts Centre begins at 7.30pm. Tickets are £20, available from the venue website or by contacting the box office.
