One of the country's leading reggae bands will visit Lyme Regis for a special gig on Saturday, March 7.

Hailing from Bristol, Laid Blak represent the sounds that define the city, drawing from a range of musical influences including dancehall, soul, hip-hop, funk and jazz. The group's hit single My Eyes Are Red has nearly four million plays on Youtube.

Laid Blak grew out of a partnership between producer DJ Bunjy and MC Joe Peng, two legends of the Jungle scene who helped define the party era in the 1990s. Looking for new musical direction, the duo drew inspiration from Bristol's reggae and soundsystem culture and set out to seek the most impressive musicians the city had to offer.

The pair are now joined by an array of individuals who complement and augment their musical ideas.

Laid Blak's performance at the Marine Theatre begins at 8pm, with doors and bar open from 7pm. Tickets are £13.50 in advance, available from the venue website or box office, or £16 on the door.
