An all-day dance event will take place at Bridport Arts Centre on Saturday, February 29, to raise money for MS Society.

Four of the best teachers from around the south west will join Dee Lanning, of Dynamic Dance, to guide participants through the routines.

Both novice and experienced dancers are invited to join in each of the one-hour workshops in Charleston, Burlesque, Salsa, Modern Jive and Lindy Hop, before returning in the evening for a social dance and chance to try out your new skills.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a condition that can affect the brain and spinal cord, causing a wide range of potential symptoms, including problems with vision, arm or leg movement, sensation or balance. It is a lifelong condition that can sometimes cause serious disability.

After Dee's father was diagnosed with MS in 2014, she decided to raise £1,000 for the charity by April this year, in order to help support other families in a similar situation.

A day pass for the fundraising event is available for £30, which includes access to all workshops which run between 11am and 5pm, plus the social dance from 8pm to 11pm. Alternatively, workshops cost £6 each and the evening dance costs £7.

Tickets are available to book online at www.dynamic-dance.uk/dance-for-ms-society. There will be a limited amount of tickets available on the door if they do not sell out in advance.
