See an exhibition of Lucian Freud’s self-portraits at the Marine Theatre in Lyme Regis on Wednesday, January 29.

This first for the Royal Academy of Arts in London is intertwined with artist biographies and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the galleries.

Spanning nearly seven decades, Freud's self-portraits give a fascinating insight into both his psyche and his development as a painter, from his earliest portrait painted in 1939 to the final one executed 64 years later.

When seen together, his portraits represent an engrossing study into the dynamics of ageing and representation. This compelling exhibition creates a cinema event to reveal the life’s work of a master.

There will also be a free cup of tea.
