Tickets are now on sale for a festival of jazz in Lyme Regis.
Jazz Jurassica - Lyme's festival of jazz and more - has its headline events at the Marine Theatre in May.
The festival opens on Friday, May 22 with a concert that celebrates the enduring appeal of soul music. Matt Carter’s funky band recreates soul classics from the 60s and 70s.
British guitarist and songwriter Martin Harley says he’s ready to make some noise on Saturday, May 23. Well-known for acoustic blues roots and Americana, he’s now teamed with a new electric band to amplify country blues riffs and bottleneck slide playing.
On Sunday, May 24, a 17 piece Latin big band including musicians from the UK, Cuba, Columbia and Spain will play a special closing concert. Dockside Latin Orchestra will perform salsas, sambas and mambos.
*Jazz Jurassica, Marine Theatre, Lyme Regis, May 22 to 24. Tickets cost £12 in advance.
