An energetic Belgian band will return to Dorset this February following a sell-out debut tour last year.

WÖR will perform at three rural venues in partnership with Artsreach, the county's touring arts charity.

The band is known for rejuvenating 18th century tunes from the Flanders region of Belgium, bringing back to life music from in and around Antwerp, Brussels, Gent and Leuven.

WÖR is comprised of Fabio De Meo on baritone sax, Jeroen Goegebuer on fiddle, Pieterjan Van Kerckhoven on bagpipes, soprano sax and musette, Bert Ruymbeek on accordion and Jonas Scheys on guitar.

Whilst in Dorset, the band will lead a workshop for instrumentalists at Winterborne Stickland on Saturday, February 8, from 11am. The session will explore a variety of techniques and ornamentation for fiddle, guitar, accordion, drone and wind instruments. Participants must bring their own instruments and be capable of playing fluently.

WÖR will perform at Studland Village Hall on Wednesday, February 5, at Winterborne Stickland Village Hall near Blandford on Friday, February 7, and at Cranborne Memorial Hall near Wimborne on Saturday, February 8.

All performances start at 7.30pm. For both concert and workshop tickets, visit www.artsreach.co.uk
