Laugh away the January blues with four comedians who will take to the stage at this month's Lyme Regis Comedy Club on Friday, January 24.

The evening will be headlined by Jonny Pelham, winner of the coveted So You Think You're Funny? award. Having begun comedy at university, Jonny went on to be named a finalist in the BBC Radio New Comedy Awards, and was nominated for The Chortle Best Newcomer in 2014.

Two years later, Jonny moved to the small screen to star in Russell Howard's Stand Up Central for Comedy Central, followed by a slot on Live at the BBC. Now a regular at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, he is set to feature on the upcoming series of Live at the Apollo.

Assuming the role of host compere on January 24 will be Bridport-based comedian Tom Glover. Tom has hosted and performed at comedy nights across the south west since 2011, and is now the resident compere at Lyme Regis Comedy Club. He is also a regular host at Weymouth Pavilion, Blandford Corn Exchange, Teignmouth Pavilions and the Jurassic Fields Festival.

Tom's solo show, A Glover Not A Fighter, ran for a month at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Held at the Marine Theatre in Lyme Regis, the comedy night begins at 8pm, with doors and bar open from 7pm. Tickets are £10 in advance, available from the theatre's website or box office, or £12 on the door.
