SEE a heart-warming tale at Bridport's Lyric Theatre this weekend.

Under the Frozen Moon will be performed on Sunday, December 15 at 1.30pm and 4.30pm.

This magical story is created by the Half a String theatre company.

It’s so cold in Nunavik that the moon has frozen! A greedy dragon has gobbled every fire and every light, leaving only the white glow of the frozen moon. You can’t feel your toes, fire freezes in the hearth, and it doesn’t even snow... but not all warmth is lost. Under the glittering stars and dazzling aurora, Amka’s family huddle together, fishing for eels and knitting plenty of hats.

In this heart-warming tale, a young girl sets out on a quest to confront the dragon under the ice who has hoarded all of the fires and lights for himself. With lively poetry, transforming sets, atmospheric live music and exciting puppetry, Under the Frozen Moon brings to life a beautiful world of ice and adventure. Recommended for ages 3+.

Half a String theatre company creates theatrical things that surprise and defy expectation by taking a life of their own; proudly present unique productions of visually stunning and heartfelt theatre; create intricate puppetry crossing generations to create truly memorable experiences, and tell powerful stories resonating through physical objects and live music. You may have seen their beautiful show A Heart at Sea here in April 2017, in which case you'll know how magical their work is!
