AN ECLECTIC mix of songs and readings will be performed by the Quangle Wangle Choir at St Nicholas Church in Abbotsbury on Saturday, December 14.

The challenges faced by the Owl and the Pussy Cat as they attempt to attend a mid-winter party will be performed with the help of a double bass and ukelele band, who decisively Drive the Cold Winter Away. A West Gallery carol will be joyfully accompanied by a merry band of instruments, while another, more grand and solemn, will celebrate the news of the angels.

Such musical performances will appear alongside readings fit for the festive season.

The Quangle Wangle Choir, based in Weymouth, perform acapella at concerts and events across the region. They rehearse on Saturday mornings and welcome new singers every January.

The concert begins at 3pm. Tickets are £7 for adults, £5 for children and £20 for a family of four, which includes a glass of wine or soft drink and a mince pie. Tickets are available in advance from 01305 871532 or on the door.
