YOUNGSTERS who are interested in creative writing can take part in a free workshop in Dorchester.

It's suitable for 12 to 16-year-olds and is being run Anthony Burt as part of Dorchester Literary Festival on Friday, October 18 from 5pm to 7pm.

Anthony is a qualified youth worker, screenwriter, journalist and children's author originally from Weymouth. He's written scripts for Doctor Who comics, trained professional scriptwriters in Los Angeles, and just entertained 8000 children this August as host of the Imagination Lab at the Edinburgh Book Festival.

Anthony has written and edited children's books for Harper Collins, Disney, Nickelodeon, and Macmillan and he's currently working on a top secret middle-grade adventure series for a publisher!

Anthony says he enjoys being a writer because you're allowed to let your imagination run wild.
