CINDERELLA

BRIDPORT ELECTRIC PALACE

FEE Jeanes Ballet's production of Cinderella was wonderfully enchanting. It was performed for two afternoons at Bridport Electric Palace Theatre. The moving ballet adaptation of the classic fairy tale captured audiences with its beautiful elegance and skilled execution from Miss Fee’s dance students.

The cast gave wonderful, opulent performances demonstrating faultless En pointe, Pirouette and Saute skills. Emma Penton as Cinderella, Jade Farrington as Prince Charming, Lauren Farnham as the Fairy Godmother and Robyn Moss as the Jester impressed the audience with their graceful and exemplary choreography.

Becky Golledge and Charlie Hagley were hilarious as the two ugly sisters and gave a magnificent presentation of their characters. They were wonderfully complemented by the talented Natalie Mantell as the evil Step Mother.

The younger members of the cast showed incredible enthusiasm and gave beautiful performances as FireFlies,Stars, Woodland Animals and Fairies.

The toddler group melted the heart of the audience when they came on to the stage as the delightful pumpkins, with the youngest member being just one years of age. A huge credit has to go to Miss Fee for her dedication to teaching skills to even the youngest of ballet enthusiasts!

Miss Fee’s classes cater for all ages and her mature students demonstrated that it is never too late to learn a new skill. Sharon Morgan as The King, Ali Edgley as The Queen and Amanda Cotterill as The Duke all gave admirable and skilled performances.

The music, costumes, props and the beautifully crafted carriage that sparkled with fairy lights just complemented this magnificent and enjoyable production.

Fee Jeanes, better known as Miss Fee, runs Fee Jeanes Ballet for students of all ages. She not only teaches a high level of ballet techniques but she also teaches her students the valuable skills of patience, commitment and passion.

Fee began dancing at the tender age of three and was taught by the late Bernard Gale. She started her own School in 2006 when Mr Gale passed away, she gets immense satisfaction out of sharing all her skills and knowledge to her 102 students.

Miss Fee’s Cinderella was a truly magical experience and was a thoroughly enjoyable ballet production Choreographed written and produced by Fee was a huge undertaking but an achievement worth while.
