THE UK's queen of soul is set to celebrate the songs of Stevie Wonder in an autumn tour coming to Bournemouth on Sunday, October 13.
Beverley Knight, who this year celebrates 25 years in music, will recreate the special concert she recorded for BBC Radio 2's Friday Night Is Music Night series at the London Palladium last year.
Beverley said: “The London Palladium show in November was such a wonderful, thrilling experience for me that I didn’t need to think twice when offered the opportunity to tour it across the UK later this year. I look forward to once again teaming up with the Leo Green Orchestra to perform these beautiful arrangements of Stevie’s timeless, inimitable music."
Strongly influenced by American soul music icons like Aretha Franklin, Beverley released her debut album, The B-Funk, in 1995, and has released eight studio albums to date. In 2006, she received an OBE for her contribution to British music and has won several awards throughout the last two decades, including Lifetime Achievement and Best Album in the Urban Music Awards.
Beverley is now regarded as one of the greatest soul singers of her generation, and her concert will pay homage to one of the greatest songwriters of modern times, celebrating Stevie's rich and varied career.
Beverley will take to the stage at Bournemouth International Centre's Windsor Hall. Tickets range from £46 to £68.50, available to purchase from ticketmaster, from the BIC website, or by contacting the box office.
