AN EVENING of sonnets, wine, song and dance is set to take place at Ashton Farm Barn, Martinstown, near Dorchester, on Saturday, September 28.

The New Hardy Players have teamed up with the Dorchester Community Plays Association (DCPA) to raise funds for the production of the seventh play, Spinning The Moon.

The evening is organised by local poet and author Sue Worth, and the festivities will begin with drinks and cakes followed by performances of poetry and song. For those who wish to join in, Alastair Simpson and his trusty hurdy-gurdy will accompany a Tudor circle dance led by dance expert, Dee Thorne.

All funds raised will go towards the DCPA, and ticket prices include a glass of Prosecco or a soft drink plus delicious cakes made by Joy Parsons. Additional refreshments and drinks will be available for purchase.
