LEADING comic and acclaimed actor Dave Johns will bring his solo show to Lyme Regis' Marine Theatre on Saturday, October 19.

Dave famously played the lead in I Daniel Blake, Ken Loach’s critically acclaimed and multi award winning film, which won the much coveted Palme D’or at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. Dave won a BAFTA for his role in the movie.

Yet Dave is also one of the most respected and best-loved comedians in British comedy, having performed extensively in clubs and at festivals around the UK and worldwide. He has appeared on popular television programmes from BBC's Never Mind The Buzzcocks and Channel 4's 8 Out of Ten Cats to Dave's Alan Davies As Yet Untitled and BT Sport's The Football's On.

Dave is also a talented improviser, making regular guest appearances with the highly acclaimed comedy improvisation team, The Comedy Store Players. Dave has appeared several times as part of their twice-weekly shows in London's West End.

His solo tour, Dave Johns: From Byker to the Baftas, will entertain audiences will hilarious reflections on the comedian's rise to fame, promising an unforgettable night of insight and comedy.

The show starts at 8pm. Tickets are £10 in advance or £12 on the door.
