ARTISTS of the Jurassic Coast will be displaying their seascapes and landscapes next month.

The Artists of the Jurassic Coast exhibition, now in its 13th year, will be held at Eype Centre for the Arts a from Saturday, September 7 to Sunday, September 29.

It will be open daily from 10.30am to 4.30pm.

This year, artist Lynne Grace will be exhibiting her well loved seascapes and other paintings. Lynne’s use of colour and sense of movement in her work evokes the Dorset Coast in a unique and dynamic way.

The well known seascape and landscape painter John Boyd will also be exhibiting. His paintings are evocative and atmospheric, a master of capturing the light. Many of his small vignettes will also be on show alongside bigger works.

Other painters include Brian Cocks who works in oils, acrylic and charcoal, Charlotte Miller and Marion Taylor.

Marion is taking part in Bridport Open Studios from the same venue and will be showing her well known paintings of Colmer’s Hill as well as a collection of small still lifes and landscapes. Dave Emery and Maggie Cooke will be showing their very different work, two different approaches using clay.

On the first Saturday there will be a ‘Meet the Artists’ event when visitors can meet the seven exhibiting artists, have a chat, exchange ideas and get some insight into their work practice. Light refreshments will also be available.
