IF you're running out of ways to keep the whole family entertained, fear not: The Legend of King Arthur is coming to Dorchester.

Pack a picnic and head to Maumbury Rings in Dorchester on Sunday, August 18 to enjoy the open-air production following the story of Arthur, a sword, and the knights of the Round Table.

Fed up of being told off by his teachers, ignored by his parents and bullied by his brother, Arthur sets out to fulfil the prophecy of a hero and pull the sword from the stone. With Merlin and his troops by his side, will Arthur be able to reunite Britain and thwart the evil plans of Morgan Le Fay?

The Legend of King Arthur is produced by Boxtree Productions and the event is organised by Dorchester Arts.

Mark Tattersall, artistic director at Dorchester Arts, said “The success of the movie The Kid Who Would Be King earlier this year showed that there is still a huge demand for good story telling for young people. We all love these classic tales and are looking forward to being enchanted by this wonderful outdoor theatre production.”
