RELIVE the original Blues Brothers movies as the legacy of Jake and Elwood is jump-started for a new generation.

The Bootleg Blues Brothers are coming to Weymouth Pavilion with a high-octane, adrenaline-pumping musical experience. Featuring hits by James Brown, Otis Redding, Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin, plus many other blues and soul classics, the show will celebrate almost 40 years of the Blues Brothers phenomenon.

The 1980 film follows the story of Jake after he is released from prison and reunited with his brother, Elwood. Collectively known as the Blues Brothers, the pair set out to save the orphanage they grew up in from closing. Hoping to raise $5,000 by reforming their old band and playing a few gigs, things take a turn for the worst and the brothers end up facing daunting odds to deliver the money in time.

The concert begins at 7.30pm on Saturday, August 31. Tickets are £26 for adults or £24 for concessions, and are available from the pavilion website or by contacting the box office.
