ENTERTAINMENT galore can be enjoyed at the Friends of Greenhill Gardens’ Summer Fayre on Sunday, August 18 from 11am to 4pm.
Switch Saxophone Quartet will provide music, along with singers Sophie Green and Franz Atkinson.
The Baton Twirling and Pom Pom Group Twirl Academy, with members hailing from the Weymouth and Portland area, will also be in the gardens again this year.
Switch were formed in 2009 and are all professional musicians, classically trained but with leanings towards jazz, swing and soul music. Their philosophy of ‘Keeping Music Live’ results in a relaxed and fun style.
Iain Campbell, of the Friends of Greenhill Gardens, said: “Switch have performed at Windsor Castle and this month are appearing at the Goodwood Races with further performances next month at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
“Their playing experience is wide ranging and varied; playing in pit orchestras, recitals and concerts, soul bands, big bands, classical orchestras.
The Friends of Greenhill Gardens will also be running a tombola and this is the last chance to win a giant Teddy, For more information about the event contact Jane Chandler on 01305 775829.
