A SHOW based upon a book by Quentin Blake can be enjoyed at Pennsylvania Castle on Portland on Tuesday, August 6 at 2pm.

The Folksy Theatre Company will be performing Mr Magnolia. Guests are invited to bring along picnics, chairs and blankets to enjoy the open-air performance, aimed at children and adults alike.

Mr Magnolia has many things, such as an old trumpet that goes rooty-toot, some very fat owls learning to hoot, a big purple dinosaur who's a magnificent brute, two sisters who play the flute, and even a swimming pool. But he still only has one boot! Join Mr Magnolia on his wacky adventures, filled with Folksy Theatre's bold characters, live music, puppetry and audience interaction.

Cat Samuel, rental and events manager at The Penn, said: “The perfect day out for families this summer holidays, we’re very excited to welcome the Folksy Theatre Company and Mr Magnolia to the Castle grounds.

"The open-air performance promises to bring audience interaction, laughter and excitement with the beautiful backdrop of our gardens.”
