A series of new musical events are being launched at Groves Garden Centre in Bridport.

The first Acoustic Session Sunday at Ivy House Kitchen in the garden centre takes places from 12pm to 3pm on Sunday, June 30.

Andy Grant will play a selection of great tunes and people can enjoy a BBQ and drinks.

When a job in a South African gold mine didn’t work out, Andy chose to make his living playing original blues music on street corners as far flung as Melbourne and Copenhagen. Now, with upwards of a 1,000 shows notched on his guitar neck, Grant has earned a wide and loyal fan base, winning over audiences time and again with his unique mix of acoustic soul, roots and blues. This award winning artist blends earthy vocals and dynamic guitar work with instant and memorable original songs.

Solo shows allow Andy to draw on his massive array of influences, from Delta Blues, Beatles/Stones/Zeppelin, Stax and Motown, Dave Matthews Band, John Martyn and J J Cale to name but a few. With stompbox and loop pedal, Andy conjures huge sonic landscapes in an instant.
