GET ready for a night in Dublin with the arrival of The Wild Murphys at Weymouth Pavilion.

On Friday, June 7, the seven-piece Irish band will perform the best classics from the Emerald Isle in One Night in Dublin.

Featuring music from The Dubliners, The Pogues and Van Morrison, expect an evening of high-energy Irish music with a thrilling mix of traditional and contemporary tunes that you can’t help but sing along to.

The Wild Murphys are a multi-award-winning band who have toured all over the UK, as well as taking to the stage in Spain, Greece, Dubai and Las Vegas.

They were formed way back in 2005 and have since played thousands of gigs across the country. The group are headed up by lead singer Middi Murphy who, armed with an accordion, plays alongside Trevor Brewis on drums and Tony Davis on keys. The BBC award-winning musician Sophy Ball also makes an appearance, showing off her talented skills on the fiddle.

Wild Murphys founder Middi Murphy has told us a bit about what to expect from the show.

"It’s a fun night filled with great Irish music; we’ve some top-notch musicians

(and me!) and we love what we do, which is play Irish songs in our own inimitable Wild Murphys style!

"We love putting our spin on songs that people know and love and giving them a different version to hear and sing along to. If you’ve ever been on a holiday abroad and walked past an Irish pub, heard the music and thought “I must go in there” then that’s what we’re all about!"
