A BAND of friends who put on a show of huge dynamic range performed with passion, joy and a liberal dose of fun call into Dorset on Friday, March 29 at 7.30pm.
Feast of Fiddles will perform at the Tivoli in Wimborne in its silver jubilee year.
Born in Nettlebed in the Chiltern Hills on Valentine’s Day 1994 as a one off special concert, Feast of Fiddles have done 25 spring tours, 24 festivals and have 7 CDs to their name.
Fiddlers Peter Knight (Gigspanner, Steeleye Span), Chris Leslie (Fairport Convention), Brian McNeill (Battlefield Band), Ian Cutler (Bully Wee), Tom Leary (Lindisfarne) and Garry Blakeley (Band of Two) add the large range of fiddle playing styles to the rock back-line of guitars, keyboards, sax and accordion – all held together by legendary drummer Dave Mattacks.
In 2017 the group's sixth album Sleight of Elbow was released.
