A DOUBLE-BILL of original comic theatre is set to tour rural Dorset and will include a date in Martinstown.

Last Chance Saloon can be seen at Martinstown Village Hall on Saturday, March 23 at 7.30pm.

With a nod to the golden age of British humour mixed with farcical comedy and quirky musical parody, Last Chance Saloon will give three performances of a comic double-bill in conjunction with Artsreach.

Last Chance Saloon is a collaborative comic theatre company who specialise in twisting classic stories, whilst infusing them with their own unique brand of character-based comedy.

First, join Sherlock Holmes and his trusty sidekick as they travel from 221B Baker Street through Victorian London (and Waitrose) to a mysterious farm, hot in pursuit of an evil mastermind, in Sherlock Holmes & The Curse of the Blue Carbuncle. Have Holmes and Watson finally met their match? Find out in this shamelessly high-octane spoof!

Then, join unwitting hero Montana Jones on a quest for archaeological eminence in The Curse of the Mummy. Hampered by a love cursed Mummy and a Nazi spy who threaten to destroy everything, who will prevail; a clumsy Cambridge University professor with no military training, or a highly skilled and deadly SS Officer?

Using catchy pop songs and obscure 80s ballads, Last Chance Saloon will take you on a whirlwind adventure as three men will play more than 100 characters! You’ll see them dance, you’ll see them cry, and you’ll see things you wish you could un-see! With lashings of good old-fashioned British humour, a touch of slapstick comedy and an intriguing interpretation of world history, the Saloon Boys will have you laughing your lungs out and crying out for more.
