SEE a Royal Ballet Live screening tomorrow in local cinemas.
The ballet company's Don Quixote will be screened at Weymouth Cineworld and Dorchester Odeon at 7.15pm tomorrow (19). The screening at Dorchester Plaza is sold out.
This romantic ballet in three acts is based on the novel of the same name by Miguel de Cervantes, performed on the stage of the Royal Opera House in London under the baton of conductor Martin Yates.
Set to Ludwig Minkus's score, which is performed by on-stage musicians, the story pivots around bumbling knight Don Quixote.
He embarks on a quest for fame and fortune in the company of loyal sword-bearer Sancho Panza.
The two men head to Barcelona, where Don Quixote falls under the spell of innkeeper's daughter Kitri (Akane Takada).
She is madly in love with the barber Basilio (Alexander Campbell).
Unfortunately, Kitri's father intends to marry his daughter to a rich nobleman called Gamache.
Don Quixote decides to intervene. Call the relevant box office for tickets.
