ORGANISERS of an annual celebration of art are appealing for artists to show their work and for youngsters to enter a children's competition.

Artists are invited to show their work to a wider audience during this year's Open for Art event (OFA19).

Anyone based in the area can show their work in Weymouth, Portland, Dorchester, Poundbury, Abbotsbury and surrounding areas from May 18 to June 2.

Those who wish to show their work should have their own studio or working space that they can open at various times during these two weeks, or you can join one of our group exhibitions.

The cost will be from £100 to include entry in 20,000 A5 brochures, interactive website, banners, extensive signage, media advertising, launch event and a social media campaign.

Sponsors currently supporting OFA19 are Artwey, DOMVS, Sculpture By The Lakes, Weymouth BID, West Dorset District Council and the Arts Development Company.

Artists can register now at openforart.co.uk The closing date for registration is February 11. Email admin@openforart.co.uk with any questions.

Two winners will be picked by sponsor DOMVS and awarded prizes. Images and details to be submitted via the contact form found on openforart.co.uk, closing date February 6.
