AFTER seven years' residency at Bridport Arts Centre, Bridport Story Café is moving to a new home at The Lyric Theatre.

The story café's opening performance will be The Big Blind on Sunday, January 20 at 7.30pm.

The storyteller will be Dominic Kelly and Bridget Marsden and Leif Ottosson will be the musicians.

The Big Blind is being performed as part of a nationwide tour starting in the West Country.

The trio combine storytelling and music in a playful and gripping performance and bring to life an ancient full-bloodied fairy tale for modern audiences. Weaving versions from Norway, Scotland, Ireland and India with contemporary Scandinavian folk music, they explore the consequences for the young when older generations fail to make adult decisions.

Dominic Kelly’s entertaining and powerful storytelling style has captivated audiences around the world and the trio produce a bewitching fusion of storytelling and music that “takes theatre right back to its origins”.
