THE Bournemouth Caledonian Society is celebrating the 260th anniversary of the birth of Scotland’s national poet Robert Burns with an authentic Burns Night in Bournemouth on Thursday, January 24.

The Society has organised this annual black tie event for more than 100 years and really know how to celebrate Burns Night in a traditional and authentic manner.

Everything that is associated with the night is included in a packed programme of delicious food, celebratory speeches, songs, bagpiping and Scottish Country dances.

The Society encourages visitors to come to 'the best Burns Night in Dorset' where the sound of the pipes can be heard as kilts swirl and Scottish tartans are to the fore.

The guests include the Mayor of Bournemouth, Councillor Derek Borthwick and the Mayoress Dorothy Borthwick
