A BRITAIN'S Got Talent star will be making Lyme laugh.

Noel James - a semi-finalist in the ITV show - headlines the Lyme Regis Comedy Club. Noel has a long career of performing stand-up for a long time, with shows at the Edinburgh Fringe dating back as far as 2001, and he is well known on the comedy circuit.

Known for his slightly absurdist take on comedy, The Independent said that Noel “stands out like a droll giant in a comedy land of trite dwarfs.”. He made a few TV appearances back in the nineties, on Channel 4’s Packing Them in and the BBC’s The Stand Up Show.

Also on the bill, is Susan Murray, a favourite of Stuart Lee, who said “Susan Murray’s baffled everywoman persona cloaks a dry, intelligent wit.” The Guardian said of Susan Murray “Anyone who loves the work of Sarah Millican and Kerry Godliman will find plenty to enjoy here”.

Riordhan DJ will also perform, with resident compere Tom Glover hosting.

*Lyme Regis Comedy Club with Noel James, Saturday, December 15, 8pm. Bar opens at 7pm. Suitable for those aged 16 and over. Call the box office for tickets.
