SCULPTURE by the Lakes launches its latest gallery space, The Barn Gallery later this month with a new two-man exhibition Pattern & Poise featuring sculptor Simon Gudgeon and renowned US wildlife painter Andrew Denman.

Simon Gudgeon, leading British contemporary sculptor and owner of Sculpture by the Lakes near Dorchester said: “Sculpture is all about form and birds have such beautiful lines that they are ideal subjects to abstract.

“Abstraction keeps the essence of the subject whilst minimising the detail.

“Launching brand new pieces and launching our new exhibition space The Barn Gallery is hugely exciting for me, as well as being a great privilege to be showing alongside renowned wildlife artist Andrew Denman.”

The exhibition runs from November 24 until December 21. Entry to The Barn Gallery is free, entry to the sculpture park is £10.

To celebrate the launch of the Barn Gallery, on November 24, there will be an evening reception followed by Dinner with the Artists in The Gallery Café from 6.30pm.

This will be a five-course tasting menu designed by chef Duncan Watts and includes a short talk from both Andrew and Simon about their work and the exhibition. Tickets £40 per person. To book, call 07720 637808.
