The Clock Work Shop Dorset in Abbotsbury is opening its doors from 11am to 7pm.

Director Simon Allen, an antiquarian horologist, and his team will be on hand to show visitors around the workshop and showroom as well as to answer clock-related questions you may have.

A glass of wine from Bridport-based Furleigh Estate will be offered on arrival accompanied by a selection of cheese from nearby Ford Farm cheesemakers.

Simon specialises in the repair and restoration of antique clocks. and began his career as the final apprentice of the world-renowned Gerald E. Marsh.

The Clock Work Shop is housed in a converted barn, the ground floor of which consists of the workshops where the team carry out clock repairs and restorations.

The first floor showroom houses a vast collection of antique clocks, barometers, jewellery and a wealth of other fine antiques.
