ACCLAIMED company Owdyado Theatre brings its new show, Twisted Tales, to Dorset this weekend.

The show, comprised of three darkly comic shorts, has been inspired by cult classics, The Twilight Zone, and, Inside Number Nine.

Performed by Owdyado's lead actors and company founders, Charlotte Blister and Dan Richards, Twisted Tales is coming to Purbeck courtesy of Dorset rural arts organisation, Artsreach Theatre.

The trio of stories starts with three strangers playing a deadly locked-room mystery.

Charlotte explained: "Both of us like the strangers trapped in a room story format - and we are not the only ones.

"We love that there is an element where the audience has to work out why all the characters have been invited and what their connections are.

"The locked room mystery game seemed a perfect setting."

The other plays concern two children's television presenters and a criminal mastermind glove puppet, and a bandaged man held captive in an upmarket flat.

Artsreach co-director Yvonne Gallimore said: "Owdyado were a hugely popular addition to our programme last winter, and we are delighted to be able to bring their latest production to Dorset. It sounds thrilling."
