Review by JOSIE HICKIN
HAVING myself been a teenage dancer, albeit a very poor one, I thought I had a good idea of what to expect from the Pulse performance at Bridport Arts Centre. How wrong I was.
I'm ashamed to admit that I didn't expect a show of fantastic performances, excellent choreography and brilliant music.
The professionalism displayed by all the dancers was impressive, as was the sophistication of the ideas behind the pieces. Dance, drama and even trapeze all took to the stage, in a show that showcased a great range of ages, styles and talents.
The West London Dance School and local kidstART, artZone & Axminster performers all held their own in a great collaboration performance. Which demonstrated a contemporary mix of styles and talents.
Overall a great night, much enjoyed by the proud parents and friends in the audience, but also much enjoyed by me who knew none of the performers but will certainly be looking out for their future shows.
